A consortium comprising Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd., Siemens Limited, and Siemens Mobility GmbH has secured a major contract from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), the organization overseeing India’s inaugural high-speed rail project. The total contract value is approximately ₹4,100 crore, with Siemens Limited’s portion valued at ₹1,230 crore. The project will span 54 months and includes 15 years of ongoing maintenance.

As part of the contract, Siemens will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of ETCS Level 2-based signaling and train control systems. ETCS Level 2, a standard used widely across more than 50 countries, is designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency on high-speed rail corridors.

Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and CEO of Siemens Limited, stated: “This contract represents a significant milestone in India’s rail infrastructure development. We look forward to working with NHSRCL and contributing to the project’s success through locally engineered, high-performance technologies aligned with national priorities.”

Siemens Limited focuses on sectors including industry, infrastructure, and mobility. In the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, the company reported consolidated revenue of approximately ₹16,000 crore from continuing operations and employed more than 6,200 professionals across the country.
