Davide Della Bella, General Manager, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE

UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian association representing manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation systems, has named Davide Della Bella as its new General Manager. The appointment was confirmed by the association’s Executive Board during a meeting held on 10 June. He succeeds Alfredo Mariotti, who served in the role for more than three decades and will continue to oversee the association’s trade fair activities.

Della Bella joined UCIMU in October 2024 as Deputy General Manager to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Since January 2025, he has also served as Secretary of the UCIMU Foundation, which focuses on strategic research and studies in support of the manufacturing sector. He also holds executive roles in CEU and EFIM, both involved in organizing trade shows and industry events, as well as SOFIMU, which supports and promotes initiatives within UCIMU.

From 2009 to 2024, Della Bella was General Manager of ECOLE, a training institution affiliated with UCIMU and several local industry associations, including Assolombarda. Under his leadership, ECOLE expanded its role in developing training and consultancy programs across both manufacturing and service sectors. He has also contributed to national policy discussions as part of the Italian Skills Strategy Working Group, coordinated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in collaboration with the OECD. Born in 1974, Della Bella holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Milan.

Speaking on his appointment, Della Bella said “I am honoured to take on the role of General Manager at UCIMU. My focus will be on strengthening the association’s engagement with institutions and stakeholders, improving support services for member companies, and advancing the association’s digital transformation. We aim to promote the technical and cultural knowledge within the sector while ensuring that our activities reflect the needs and input of our member base. This approach will help guide our work during a time of significant change in the industry.”

UCIMU President Riccardo Rosa added: “I would like to express our gratitude to Alfredo Mariotti for his long-standing contribution to UCIMU. His leadership has been central to the association’s development and reputation both in Italy and abroad. We welcome Davide Della Bella to his new role, confident in his capabilities and experience, which have already been evident during his time with the organisation.”
