Exicom, an Indian company, has introduced its advanced DC fast charger, Harmony Direct 2.0, designed to improve reliability, reduce operational costs, and elevate the user experience. “Trust and reliability are key to boosting electric vehicle (EV) adoption in India,” said Anant Nahata, Managing Director and CEO of Exicom. “With Harmony Direct 2.0, we’ve redefined what charging solutions can offer, raising the bar for infrastructure durability, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction. This product is a direct response to both global technological advancements and local market needs, reinforcing our commitment to India’s evolving EV landscape.”

At the heart of the charger is Harmony OS, India’s first indigenous platform for controlling EV chargers. This intelligent system automates the interactions between the charger, vehicle, and cloud. “Harmony OS is designed to manage every aspect of the charging process with precision. It handles charging sessions, balances power usage, runs diagnostics in real-time, and adapts to varying conditions, ensuring smooth and seamless operation for both users and charging station operators,” explained Mr Nahata.

The charger also features sensor-based diagnostics and AI-powered Harmony Connect, which allows for remote management and significantly reduces downtime, ensuring maximum station reliability.

Anshuman Divyanshu, CEO of Exicom’s EVSE Business, added, “Harmony Direct 2.0 is engineered for exceptional operational efficiency and intelligence, bringing essential features to charge point and fleet operators. It empowers them to scale operations confidently.”

The charger boosts efficiency by distributing power dynamically between multiple plugs, addressing energy losses through smart power management, and reducing energy costs. Additionally, the system introduces Harmony Net, enabling intelligent power sharing across multiple chargers to enhance flexibility and scalability for operators.

With multi-stack charging functionality, Harmony Direct 2.0 takes smart charging to a new level. Operators can define multiple charging strategies based on factors such as user profile, time of day, or even day of the week, and the system will prioritize and adjust automatically—without the need for manual adjustments. “Harmony Direct 2.0 allows for flexible, automated charging strategies, enabling operators to optimize their charging infrastructure efficiently,” Mr Nahata concluded.
