Centric Software® has announced that JAJ Group, a French entity known for creating, manufacturing, and exclusively distributing Schott NYC in Europe, and holding the worldwide license for Rivieras, has successfully implemented its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Centric PLM™, on time and within budget. The move is part of JAJ Group’s ongoing commitment to improving operational efficiency and enhancing its competitive position in the fast-moving textile industry. Centric Software provides cutting-edge enterprise solutions to manage product development, sourcing, sales, and inventory, empowering businesses across industries like fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home goods, cosmetics, personal care, and multi-category retail to achieve their digital transformation goals.
Schott NYC offers affordable, military-inspired ready-to-wear clothing for men, women, and children, alongside footwear and stationery. In the 1970s, Schott NYC licensed its European operations to JAJ Group. While leather and fabric jackets are still crafted in the US, JAJ Group manufactures the remaining textiles for the European market in Asia, Turkey, and North Africa. In 2023, JAJ Group acquired the Rivieras brand license and began designing and distributing the footwear and textiles under the brand.
Initially, JAJ Group sought to replace its outdated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and its underutilized Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. However, after evaluating their options, the leadership team saw the value of PLM technology and chose to prioritize this solution before tackling the ERP system overhaul.
“We needed to move away from our reliance on spreadsheets and manual sketches,” says Sophie Azzoug, Product Director at Schott NYC. “Our production is on a small scale, and we need products that are crafted with deep expertise. Our goal was to boost efficiency and find a solution tailored to our specific needs. With the launch of our new e-commerce site and partnerships with key retailers like La Redoute, Zalando, Galeries Lafayette, and Printemps, we needed to improve how we manage product data and integrate seamlessly with these platforms under tight deadlines.”
Another driving factor for JAJ Group’s decision was France’s anti-waste legislation, AGEC, which mandates accurate reporting of product data. Sophie Azzoug explains, “We were tired of entering the same data repeatedly across multiple platforms. Centric PLM connects all systems in one place, making data retrieval quick and easy. By consolidating everything into a single, reliable source, we can harmonize our processes, enhance planning efficiency, and improve data quality, allowing us to handle larger volumes of data faster.”
JAJ Group selected Centric Software due to its extensive expertise in the fashion industry, backed by strong customer testimonials. “Several of our team members had prior experience with Centric PLM, which made the decision even easier,” adds Sophie Azzoug. The implementation of Centric PLM was successfully completed on schedule, with Centric Software providing crucial support during the final stages of the deployment.
“Now, everyone has access to the same real-time information, which eliminates quality issues and saves time. The platform keeps us all informed about the status of ongoing tasks, and we’re already working on our Schott NYC 2026 collection using Centric PLM,” Sophie Azzoug says. “Looking forward, we plan to integrate Centric PLM with our future ERP system and the Fairly Made® traceability platform, which will help us track and assess the social and environmental impact of our products.”
“We are excited to support JAJ Group’s digital transformation,” says Fabrice Canonge, President of Centric Software. “JAJ Group quickly recognized the unique advantages of Centric PLM. This project highlights how Centric Software simplifies complex operations, allowing brands to fully leverage their expertise and better meet their needs.”
