THINK Gas, a leading player in India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector, is advancing the country’s shift to cleaner transport solutions with the introduction of six new LNG dispensing stations. The new infrastructure will support the growing demand for low-emission, long-haul trucking, building on the success of the company’s first LNG station in Bagroda, Bhopal.

Following its merger with AG&P Pratham, THINK Gas will establish three new LNG refueling hubs in key locations: Anantapur and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, and Vallam in Tamil Nadu’s Kanchipuram District. These stations are set to go live by September 2025. By December 2025, an additional three stations will also be operational, further expanding the company’s commitment to clean mobility solutions.

Incorporating LNG into its already established LCNG (Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas) stations, THINK Gas is enhancing its infrastructure to offer seamless distribution, making it more efficient for fleet operators and logistics companies to access clean fuel.

“India is undergoing a significant energy transformation, and THINK Gas is proud to lead the way,” said Abhilesh Gupta, Managing Director and CEO of THINK Gas. “With the launch of these six LNG hubs at our LCNG stations, we’re accelerating the adoption of clean fuels in the heavy commercial vehicle sector, helping fleet operators reduce costs while embracing environmentally friendly alternatives.”

THINK Gas currently operates 18 LCNG stations across its service areas, and these stations are being upgraded to accommodate LNG fueling. The company’s vision is in line with India’s national goal to increase natural gas’s share in the energy mix from approximately 6% to 15% by 2030. As the logistics sector faces pressure to decarbonize, LNG offers a cleaner alternative to diesel, with significant operational and environmental benefits.

“We are witnessing a rapid shift as fleet operators are increasingly moving to LNG. This transition is further supported by favorable government policies, rising OEM participation, and a growing demand for clean transportation solutions,” Mr Gupta added.

THINK Gas operates India’s largest fleet of 61 specialized LNG carriers, ensuring a reliable, nationwide supply of clean fuel. With its robust logistics infrastructure and 18 operational LCNG stations, the company is well-positioned to cater to long-haul freight corridors and key industrial hubs across the country.

The addition of new LNG hubs will allow LNG-powered vehicles to refuel efficiently at critical points along national routes, reducing dependency on conventional fuels and cutting down emissions. THINK Gas is also introducing innovations like its Net Metering service, which helps fleet operators track real-time fuel usage, bringing transparency and cost savings to operations. Moreover, the company’s stations are equipped with advanced Boil-off Gas (BoG) management systems that ensure zero methane emissions, reinforcing THINK Gas’s commitment to sustainability and responsible fuel management.

THINK Gas is actively collaborating with OEMs, retrofitters, logistics firms, and transport companies to support the adoption of LNG-powered trucks and ensure alignment between fueling infrastructure and vehicle availability. The company’s strategic partnerships along high-demand routes, including the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Eastern Freight Corridor, and the Southern economic belt, are central to its mission of facilitating the green transition in India’s logistics sector. Through these developments, THINK Gas is playing a crucial role in shaping India’s future as a leader in sustainable transportation.
