Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) has announced the receipt of a ₹114.22 crore Letter of Award (LOA) from a prominent renewable energy generation company. The LOA is for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of 94 MW AC Solar PV Plants at multiple locations under the Mukhyamantri Saur KrishiVahiniYojana (MSKVY) 2.0.
The project follows a competitive bidding process, technical evaluations, and negotiations, highlighting WRTL’s expertise in delivering large-scale solar projects. The MSKVY 2.0 program, launched by the Government of Maharashtra, focuses on providing farmers with daytime electricity through decentralized solar power generation, contributing to both agricultural growth and rural energy independence.
India’s renewable energy sector is seeing significant growth, with solar energy playing a leading role. The country reached 97 GW of installed solar capacity by 2024 and aims to achieve 280 GW by 2030, driven by supportive policies, reduced technology costs, and increased private sector involvement.
Sunil Rathi, Executive Director of WRTL commented, “This award represents not just a project win but the trust our partners place in us. We don’t just build solar plants; we deliver efficiency, speed, and scale. This project enables clean, daytime power for farmers, further supporting rural energy self-sufficiency. Through every project, we contribute to progress, one megawatt at a time.”
WRTL continues to earn the confidence of repeat clients due to its reliable execution, timely project completion, and technical expertise. As a globally recognized EPC provider, the company has a proven track record in handling complex solar projects in various climates and regulatory environments. With an integrated approach covering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, WRTL ensures high performance, cost efficiency, and long-term value for its clients. This project further reinforces WRTL’s role as a trusted partner in India’s solar sector and its commitment to sustainable infrastructure that drives both environmental and socio-economic progress.
