Exide Industries is setting a revenue target of ₹20,000 crore over the next two to three years, driven largely by consistent performance in its lead-acid battery segment. The company posted ₹16,588 crore in revenue for the financial year 2024–25. Planned investments for the current fiscal year are estimated between ₹1,600 and ₹1,700 crore, covering both lead-acid operations and the development of its lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility, which is scheduled to become operational in FY 2025–26.

According to Managing Director and CEO Avik Roy, the projected revenue growth is based solely on the lead-acid business. Revenue contributions from the lithium-ion segment have not been factored in, as outcomes will depend on market conditions and electric vehicle adoption rates.

The company is also focused on strengthening margins and cash flow following a challenging March quarter, where high input costs, particularly a sharp rise in antimony prices, affected profitability. A price adjustment of approximately 5% was implemented to offset increased costs, though the timing created short-term pressure. Company officials noted that market conditions are now beginning to stabilize.
