NKP Pharma, a specialist in pharmaceutical packaging equipment, has implemented a cutting-edge visualization platform to improve compliance and operational efficiency. This move comes through a successful collaboration with Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK), a global provider of industrial automation solutions.
The integration of the FactoryTalk® Optix™ platform has enabled NKP Pharma to align with USFDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, a critical regulatory standard governing electronic records and signatures. This development also brings improvements in cost control and customer satisfaction.
NKP Pharma previously faced hurdles in maintaining compliance using conventional industrial control systems, which proved costly and limited in terms of direct data accessibility. Seeking a more agile solution, the company turned to Rockwell Automation for a platform that supports secure, scalable, and regulation-ready operations.
Alpesh Mistry, Vice President of Operations at NKP Pharma, commented:
“We now have a practical and affordable approach to compliance that also empowers our customers with better access to operational data. FactoryTalk® Optix™ has replaced our reliance on expensive IPC-SCADA systems.”
Legacy systems often restricted user access and offered limited flexibility in data management. In contrast, the newly adopted platform delivers real-time insights, user-level access control, and audit-ready electronic records—key features for maintaining compliance and boosting efficiency.
DilipSawhney, Managing Director of Rockwell Automation India, added:
“Our work with NKP Pharma is a great example of how modern visualization tools can help manufacturers meet industry standards, lower costs, and improve performance. It’s about enabling better decisions and stronger outcomes through reliable data access.”
FactoryTalk® Optix™ is designed to support next-generation HMI (Human-Machine Interface) functions, including seamless data integration and advanced visualization capabilities. This helps users adapt to regulatory changes, optimize machine operations, and better serve their customers.
