Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) wrapped up its third annual Honda Manesar Half Marathon on Monday, with over 6,000 participants joining in to support road safety initiatives. The event, held at HMSI’s Global Resource Factory in IMT Manesar, Gurugram, aimed to raise awareness about road safety through fitness. The marathon offered three race categories: a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10 km run, and a 5 km fun run, catering to participants of various skill levels.

In the women’s half marathon, Ms Seema claimed first place with a time of 1 hour, 29 minutes, and 29 seconds, while Manoj Singh won the men’s race with a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 35 seconds. In the 10 km category, Mr Ravi and Ms Kavita emerged victorious in their respective races.

Winners of the half marathon were awarded Honda’s new QC1 model, and top finishers in both the half marathon and 10 km events received discount vouchers for HMSI products. Additionally, a lucky draw for a Honda QC1 was open to participants across all categories.

The marathon is part of Honda’s global goal to achieve zero traffic-related fatalities involving Honda vehicles and motorcycles by 2050. All funds raised from the event will go towards supporting road safety programs.

The event was a collaborative effort between HMSI, local government officials from Haryana, the IMT Manesar Industry Association, and several other local industries. Since entering the Indian market in 2001, HMSI has been a leader in two-wheeler manufacturing in India and has continuously championed initiatives related to road safety, healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, and sports development. This marathon is one of the many ways Honda engages with communities to raise awareness about road safety and encourage healthy living.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), a fully owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, Japan—the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer—began its operations in India in May 2001. Over the past two decades, Honda has rapidly expanded its presence and has grown to become the second-largest two-wheeler company in India, serving over 60 million satisfied customers.
