Dixon Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with Signify Innovations India to create a 50:50 joint venture (JV) focused on manufacturing lighting products and accessories. This agreement marks a significant move in the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) business for both companies, pending the signing of final agreements, statutory approvals, and the fulfillment of necessary conditions.
Signify Innovations, formerly known as Philips Lighting, is a global leader in lighting solutions. The newly formed JV will handle part of Signify’s OEM orders in India and also explore opportunities to produce lighting products for other brands. This collaboration aims to enhance manufacturing capabilities in India while delivering high-quality lighting solutions to the market.
Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies, emphasized the strong alignment between the two companies, highlighting shared values in quality, innovation, and customer-centric manufacturing. He noted that Signify’s expertise in lighting technologies and process-oriented approach would greatly enhance operational efficiency.
