The Rajasthan government announced on Tuesday that J4S will invest Rs 250 crore to set up a ceramic glass manufacturing facility in the state. The project is expected to generate around 500 job opportunities.
J4S, a prominent name in the glass and mobility sectors, has chosen the Ghiloth Industrial Area in Alwar for the new plant, opting for Rajasthan over other states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir. The decision was influenced by Rajasthan’s efficient land allocation process, with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) successfully providing 12.22 acres of land within just 30 days of J4S’s application, according to an official.
Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary of Industries & Commerce, said, “Addressing the needs of investors and offering tailored solutions is essential. Our team acted quickly and with transparency on the investment proposal.” Shivangi Swarnkar, Managing Director of RIICO, highlighted, “The efficiency of government departments in processing requests plays a critical role in attracting and retaining investment.”
Saurab Kapoor, Managing Director of J4S, also praised RIICO for its swift support, adding, “The clarity and speed of the land allotment process have been truly impressive.” The project, with a total investment of Rs 250 crore, is expected to provide 500 new jobs. To support the facility’s power requirements, RIICO is setting up a 220-KW substation, ensuring 24/7 electricity supply. Production is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025.
