JSW MG Motor India Launches ‘MG Select’ for Better Access

JSW MG Motor India’s flagship social program, MG Sewa, made a significant impact in 2024, reaching over 70,000 women and girls as part of its 1.2 lakh total beneficiaries. The initiative, focusing on education and hygiene, has expanded its reach across various regions in India, the company announced on February 5, 2025.

A key component of MG Sewa is its WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program, which has benefited 16,730 women and girls by promoting menstrual hygiene awareness in underserved communities. Additionally, the initiative introduced mathematics education programs in over 100 government schools in rural Odisha, impacting 80,000 children.

CEO Emeritus Rajeev Chaba emphasized the company’s vision of supporting as many women as the number of cars it sells. He also noted that the initiative is entirely voluntary and goes beyond the mandated CSR requirements, reinforcing the company’s commitment to social impact.

The success of MG Sewa is largely driven by employee volunteerism, with staff members mentoring, crowdfunding, and actively engaging in community development outside of their work hours. In addition, MG’s dealer partners contribute through direct participation and financial support, strengthening the program’s outreach.
