Greaves Cotton Limited, a diversified engineering giant with a 165-year legacy, showcased its extensive portfolio of mobility innovations at the Auto Expo 2025 – The Motor Show at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Highlighting its transformation into a multi-fuel, multi-business enterprise, the company revealed new “Made in India” products, including futuristic electric two- and three-wheelers, charging solutions, advanced engines, powertrain systems, and aftermarket accessories.
Greaves introduced concept vehicles such as the Ampere Xyber e-motorcycle, Xpress electric two-wheeler for delivery services, and the versatile Xargo electric three-wheeler for e-commerce. These products are equipped with robust features like long-range LFP batteries, payload flexibility, and IoT connectivity. New variants of bestselling models Nexus and Magnus were also unveiled, featuring advanced powertrains, fast charging, and premium designs. The Magnus Neo, known for completing a 2,300 km journey from Bengaluru to Delhi, exemplified the company’s engineering excellence.
Through its electric mobility division, Greaves has driven 3.8 billion electric kilometers, saving 1.5 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions—equivalent to planting nearly 6 million trees. Its Ampere brand aims to democratize EV adoption across India with accessible, sustainable solutions.
Greaves showcased cutting-edge engines and powertrains, including hydrogen-powered, CNG, and Euro V+ engines, along with advanced motion control systems. These innovations reflect the company’s dedication to clean energy and its commitment to the “Make in India” initiative.
Nagesh Basavanhalli, Vice Chairman of Greaves Cotton, emphasized the company’s role in building a future-ready, fuel-agnostic mobility ecosystem. Dr Arup Basu, Managing Director, highlighted the focus on alternate fuels and advanced engineering as key pillars of Greaves’ journey toward sustainable growth.
