Boeing Appoints Dana Deasy as Chief Information Officer

Boeing [NYSE: BA] has named Dana Deasy as its new Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President for Information Technology & Data Analytics, effective December 31, 2024. Effective December 31, 2024, Dana Deasy will assume the role of Chief Information Officer, overseeing all areas of information technology, cybersecurity, and data analytics at Boeing. Reporting directly to Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg, Deasy will also be a member of the company’s Executive Council.

“Dana is a highly respected global technology leader with a proven history of implementing innovative solutions across large, complex organizations,” Ortberg said. “As we face increasing cyber threats and the growing influence of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, his leadership will be essential to our IT efforts, ensuring we meet safety and quality standards, deliver reliability to our customers, and remain well-positioned for the future.”

With over 40 years of technology and leadership experience, Deasy has worked in various industries, including his most recent role as CIO for the U.S. Department of Defense. His career also includes positions at JPMorgan Chase, BP, General Motors, and Rockwell’s Space Systems Division. Deasy will succeed Susan Doniz, who left the company late last year.
