GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, part of Essar’s Green Mobility initiative, has joined hands with Exide Industries, a leading battery manufacturer in India, to introduce LNG-powered trucks into Exide’s logistics network. This move is aimed at making Exide’s supply chain more sustainable.
Under this partnership, GreenLine will supply its LNG-powered fleet, which is designed to deliver efficiency and reduce environmental impact in long-distance logistics. The trucks, equipped with features like real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and enhanced safety systems, can travel up to 1,200 kilometers on a single LNG refuel, providing a viable alternative to traditional diesel trucks. By adopting LNG-powered trucks, Exide Industries aims to cut Scope 3 emissions related to its supply chain activities, aligning its operations with its sustainability goals while maintaining performance.
