Welspun Corp has clinched two significant contracts in the United States, involving the supply of HSAW coated pipes and HSAW coated pipes for natural gas pipeline projects. These orders were awarded to the company’s US facility, bringing the total value of contracts secured by the unit in FY25 (up to Q3) to over ₹7,000 crore.
The execution of these projects is planned for FY25 and FY26. In its filing, the company highlighted its robust market presence in the US oil and gas transmission sector and expressed confidence in capitalizing on upcoming opportunities in the region.
Earlier in October, Welspun won another notable contract in the US valued at ₹2,400 crore. Despite these wins, the company reported a net profit of ₹287 crore for the September quarter, reflecting a 26.3% decline from ₹386.57 crore in the same quarter of the previous year, primarily due to reduced revenue and external challenges. Consolidated revenue for the July-September quarter was ₹3,364 crore, down 18.6% compared to ₹4,059.45 crore in the same period of the last fiscal year.
