Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has successfully concluded its 31st iCARE (i, Community Action to Reach Everyone) initiative at Government High School, Ullal Upanagara, near Kengeri, in celebration of World Student’s Month.

This event engaged 200 TKM employee volunteers and 100 students in various activities aimed at improving the school’s infrastructure. World Student’s Month, recognized every October, honors the vital role of students in shaping the future while emphasizing the importance of education and community participation.

During the event, volunteers refurbished 75 benches and assembled new desks, significantly enhancing the learning environment for 380 students. This initiative not only provided a better infrastructure but also instilled a sense of belonging and pride among students regarding their educational setting.

Participating in the repair and maintenance of classroom furniture offered students hands-on experience, helping them develop skills and reinforcing their roles as responsible community members. The event concluded with a reflective session, where volunteers and students shared their experiences, underscoring education’s role in fostering holistic development and strengthening community ties.

Sudeep S Dalvi, Senior Vice President & Chief Communication Officer at TKM, stated, “Our commitment to society transcends business goals. We believe true progress is achieved by collaborating with communities to tackle their unique challenges. The success of the 31st iCARE event highlights our dedication to enhancing educational facilities through active employee involvement. By working alongside students and the community, we aim to cultivate a spirit of collaboration, where every small contribution leads to a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those we serve.”

Since its launch in 2017, the iCARE initiative has engaged over 2,659 volunteers in more than 30 events, benefiting over 67,000 community members. The program focuses on various areas, including education, environmental protection, road safety, and skill development. Moving forward, TKM is committed to encouraging its employees to participate in meaningful activities that contribute to community betterment, reinforcing Toyota’s strong commitment to social responsibility.
