Eaton, a leading global power management company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to expand its Crouse-Hinds and B-Line operations in India. This agreement highlights Eaton’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the region by focusing on sustainable solutions and innovative technologies.
The MoU was formalized during a ceremony attended by Eaton’s top executives, including Matt Hockman, Global President of Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil and Gas; Simon Mathieson, VP/GM EMEAI for Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil and Gas; Marine Drive, Country Head for Eaton in India; Philipose Jacob, Country Director for Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil and Gas India; and Herman Bennis, HR Director for the division in India. Representing the Tamil Nadu government were Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Minister for Industries Dr. T.R.B. Rajaa, Secretary for Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Arun Roy IAS, and MD & CEO of Guidance Tamil Nadu Vishnu Venugopalan IAS.
Philipose Jacob,the company’s Country Director for India, emphasized the company’s dedication to developing sustainable power management solutions in the country. “Eaton has been committed to addressing significant energy challenges in India through sustainable and innovative solutions,” Jacob stated.
He also shared details about a new facility in Sholinganallur, Chennai, which will cover 100,000 square feet. Expected to be completed by the end of 2026, the facility will include advanced manufacturing floors, R&D centers, an experience center, and headquarters, all designed to boost Eaton’s capacity to provide cutting-edge solutions.
Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Industries, Dr. T.R.B. Rajaa, expressed the government’s support for its’s expansion. “The partnership with the company aligns with our vision of transforming Tamil Nadu into a hub for innovation and industrial growth. Eaton’s expansion will generate jobs and help develop a skilled workforce, further advancing technology and industry in the state,” Rajaa said. The expanded facility will focus on it’s expertise in digitalization, electrification, and energy transition, reinforcing the company’s global objectives of sustainability and innovation.
