Accelus Robotics Private Limited is a growing company in India’s manufacturing industry, founded by Hitesh Prajapati and Dr Amit Furadha to strengthen the Indian CNC and robotics industry. Committed to the “Make in India” initiative, Accelus Robotics manufactures high-quality CNC controllers, motion controllers, and PLC systems to reduce dependence on imports. With a growing team and a strong focus on research and development, the company is making great strides in both the domestic and international markets and is an example of Indian innovation and quality in industrial manufacturing.

Hitesh Prajapati, a young engineer from Mumbai, has dedicated his career to advancing manufacturing technology. With a focus on practical solutions and innovation, he aims to make a meaningful impact on the industry.

Mr Prajapati completed his graduation in 2010 with a degree in electronic engineering. After finishing his studies, he began his career at Automata Systems in Mumbai, working as a software architect. He gained experience and skills in the field for nearly 6 years and noticed that most of the high-tech machines used in India were being imported from other countries like the USA, China, and Germany. There were very few companies making these machines in India.

Driven by a desire to change this, Hitesh teamed up with his partner, Amit Furadha, who had a PhD in robotics. In 2018, they started Accelus Robotics Private Limited. Their goal was simple but ambitious: to make high-quality CNC controllers, motion controllers, and PLC systems in India. They wanted to help the country become more self-sufficient, reducing the need for imported technology.

Starting a business wasn’t easy. Mr Prajapati and  Mr Furadha began with a small team. They worked long hours to create products that could match the quality of those made abroad. They focused not only on making great products but also on providing excellent service to their customers. Prajapati knew that helping customers use the products well, even after the sale, was key to building trust.

As time passed, Accelus robotics grew. From just a few people, the team expanded to around 25 to 27 employees. They even began exploring opportunities to export their products to other countries, although this was still a new area for them.

Accelus Robotics now manufactures a range of products, including CNC controllers for various applications, integrated HMI and PLC combo controllers, servo motors, and industrial grid panels. They have also begun exporting their products, showcasing India’s capability to compete on a global scale.

Transforming India’s Automation Market with Customized Solutions and IIoT Integration :

The success of Accelus Robotics is largely driven by its strong focus on research and development. The company invests in R&D to ensure they stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Their approach to product development is meticulous, starting from product planning and moving through design, development, and rigorous testing before full-scale production.

Mr Prajapati also highlighted several drifts and challenges in the automation and robotics market:

  • Market Dominance and Gaps: The market is currently dominated by imported products, particularly from China and the U.S. This presents both a challenge and an opportunity for Indian manufacturers like Accelus Robotics to fill the gap by offering locally produced, high-quality alternatives.
  • Customization Demand: There is a growing demand for customized products that meet specific industry needs. Many importers and traders are unable to provide these tailored solutions, which gives Accelus Robotics an advantage due to their in-house software development capabilities.
  • Integration with IIoT: The company is focusing on integrating its products with IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) systems, which is a significant trend in the industry. This integration not only improves the consistency of their products but also enhances efficiency and reduces wiring difficulty.
  • Service-Oriented Market: Prajapati highlighted that the market is gradually service-oriented. Success in this field is not just about selling products but also about providing strong after-sales support, which is crucial for building a good reputation.
  • Export Potential: While Accelus Robotics has begun exporting its products, the growth in this area is gradual. The company is taking a step-by-step approach to expand its reach beyond the Indian market.

He believes that after-sales service is equally crucial. This focus on customer satisfaction has earned them a reputation for reliability and quality in a highly competitive market.

Mr Prajapati’s journey from being an engineer to becoming an entrepreneur was filled with challenges. But he finds great pride in knowing that his work is helping to build India’s manufacturing strength. Today, Accelus Robotics continues to create new and improved products, keeping up with changes in the industry. The story of Hitesh Prajapati and Accelus Robotics is one of determination and commitment. It shows how passion and hard work can lead to real change, making a difference not just for a company but for an entire country.
