Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) celebrated the sixth anniversary of its Children’s Traffic Training Park in Thane, Maharashtra, reinforcing its commitment to road safety and responsible driving habits in the city. The celebration featured a cake-cutting ceremony, attended by Shri Zafar M Kazi, Senior Motor Vehicle Inspector, RTO Thane, along with HMSI officials and dealer partners.

Launched in collaboration with the Thane Municipal Corporation in August 2018, the Children’s Traffic Training Park has become a key educational resource in the heart of the city. With its advanced facilities and interactive training sessions, the park has educated nearly 1.31 lakh participants of all ages on safe road practices.

The sixth anniversary event featured a variety of activities aimed at promoting road safety among students of different age groups. These included a Bicycle Riding Activity, Riding Trainer Sessions, Female Safety Riding Activities, Safety Gear Awareness, and Safety Riding Theory Sessions, all designed to underscore the importance of cautious and informed road behavior.

Looking to the future, HMSI remains committed to expanding the reach of its Traffic Training Park in Thane and other locations, continuing to collaborate with local stakeholders to foster a culture of road safety.

HMSI’s dedication to road safety is part of its larger Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mission. Globally, Honda aims for zero traffic collision fatalities involving its motorcycles and cars by 2050. In India, HMSI has been actively promoting road safety since 2001, reaching over 77 lakh individuals through its initiatives.

HMSI conducts daily safety programs at 10 adopted traffic parks across India and operates six Safety Driving Education Centres (SDEC). Additionally, HMSI dealerships across the country incorporate road safety awareness into their customer engagement, including risk-prediction training through virtual riding simulators and pre-delivery safety advice.
