ABB has unveiled its latest generation of electromagnetic flowmeters, designed to deliver superior accuracy, enhanced connectivity, and greater flexibility for both industrial and utility applications. With this launch, ABB has streamlined its product offerings into two versatile models: ProcessMaster and AquaMaster, which incorporate advanced features including modular design and IoT connectivity.

Amina Hamidi, Managing Director of ABB’s Business Line Instrumentation, emphasized the company’s focus on pushing the boundaries of instrumentation technology. “By integrating high performance, modularity, and IoT connectivity, we are setting new standards for flowmeters, ensuring customers receive top-tier accuracy and flexibility for a wide range of applications,” Hamidi stated.

The new ProcessMaster is tailored for use in industrial and utility plant environments, while the updated AquaMaster models are designed for external applications, providing precise measurements for water transportation, distribution, and billing systems.

A key feature of the new flowmeter lineup is its modularity, reflecting ABB’s commitment to sustainable and adaptable solutions. Built on a common technology platform, these flowmeters allow users to easily interchange sensors and transmitters, customize communication options, and perform upgrades without needing significant system overhauls. This approach not only reduces waste and lowers the total cost of ownership but also extends the lifecycle of the products.

All models in the new range come with built-in IoT connectivity, offering users a variety of high-speed communication options for both plant-based and remote applications. This connectivity enhances data analysis and process control, providing users with greater visibility and control over their flowmeter assets. Additionally, ABB’s innovative manufacturing processes have enabled the company to reduce lead times for these products.

ABB’s Process Automation division, with its 20,000 employees, focuses on automating, electrifying, and digitalizing industrial operations across various sectors, including energy, water, materials, and transportation. The division’s expertise in technology and services helps customers improve operational performance and safety, promoting a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, continues to drive industrial transformation through innovation. With a workforce of around 105,000 employees and over 140 years of experience, the company remains dedicated to creating solutions that enhance how things are manufactured, powered, and operated.
