The expansion at Ascendas Information Technology Park in Mahindra World City, Singaperumal Koil, near Chennai, adds 138,000 square feet of space, increasing the facility’s seating capacity to 2,000 employees.
This move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its innovative mobility solutions for the global automotive industry. The expanded facility was officially inaugurated virtually by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin during the Tamil Nadu Investors’ Conclave. The event was attended by senior officials from Renault-Nissan Tech, including Akira Hanzawa, Senior Vice President of Nissan Engineering and Costing, and Eva James, Vice President of Global Service Delivery and Global Hub.
The expansion reflects Renault-Nissan Tech’s continued growth in the region and its commitment to providing advanced services in simulation, after-sales engineering, software validation, AI, and other cutting-edge technologies.
Debashis Neogi, Managing Director of Renault-Nissan Tech, emphasized the centre’s role as a key player in the global automotive technology sector. “Our Chennai facility is evolving into a major hub for competencies in critical technology areas. The new office space will support our ambition to become the largest Auto Tech OEM Capability Centre in the country, enabling us to attract top talent and foster an environment that drives innovation and collaboration,” Neogi stated.
