RMC Green Energy Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of RMC Switchgears Limited, has received approval from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation to set up a 50 MW Renewable Energy Park under the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Policy 2023. This development marks a significant step for the company as it ventures into the Solar Park business as an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
RMC is actively targeting additional projects totaling over 600 MWp and is engaging with public and private sector stakeholders to achieve its ambitious goal of securing 1 GWp in EPC contracts over the next 18 months. By working with experts in installation and commissioning across multiple states and utilizing their skilled in-house team, RMC is positioning itself as a leader in the green energy sector.
This initiative not only strengthens RMC Switchgears Limited’s role in advancing renewable energy but also aligns with India’s climate action goals under the Paris Agreement. The company’s focus on solar projects supports the reduction of carbon emissions, promotes economic growth, and creates green jobs, furthering India’s objective of achieving 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
