Telecom gear maker GX Group is poised for significant growth, expecting its revenue to surge by 66% to ₹500 crore by the financial year 2026. This ambitious target is driven by robust growth in both domestic business and exports, according to GX Group CEO Paritosh Prajapati.
The company specializes in Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) gear essential for fibre-based broadband networks, as well as routers, switches, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Prajapati revealed plans to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities in India, with a ₹100 crore investment lined up for the current financial year.
“We have achieved a 40% year-on-year growth consecutively, which supports our projection to grow from ₹300 crore to ₹500 crore within the next two financial years. We plan to establish India as our global hub by transferring technology and knowledge and investing in our new research and development centre in Chennai,” Prajapati said.
GX Group was notably the first telecom gear maker to meet Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme targets and receive incentives from the government. The PLI scheme benefits are a key growth driver for the company.
“We anticipate a 120% increase in exports to major telecom operators in Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia, primarily by shifting from software to hardware exports,” Prajapati added.
Since its inception, GX Group’s production capacity has expanded nearly fivefold. This financial year, the company is exploring options for a new facility, expected to cost around ₹100 crore for land, machinery, and building. The company is in discussions with state governments in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh to secure the best possible location for accessing export markets and skilled manpower.
GX Group is also focused on increasing local value addition to reduce costs and ensure timely product delivery. “We believe in growing together. We are partnering with SMEs and sub-vendors for consumables and raw materials. By training them with our European Union manufacturing team, we aim to build an ecosystem focused on components for broadband equipment, aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative,” Prajapati said.
The company’s strategic investments and expansions reflect its commitment to innovation and growth, positioning GX Group as a significant player in the global telecom gear market.
