FPT Industrial, a renowned manufacturer of low environmental-impact powertrain solutions and a brand of Iveco Group, exhibited its flagship solutions at REMATEC 2023, the global exhibition for remanufacturing professionals, held in Amsterdam from June 27th to 29th. At booth 08.440B, Original Reman by FPT Customer Service showcased its remanufactured engines and components, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.
As a leading supplier of Reman products for the entire Iveco Group and other non-captive customers, FPT Industrial boasts extensive experience in the remanufacturing of engines and components. The company firmly believes that this industrial activity can make a significant difference in terms of environmental impact without compromising quality and safety.
FPT Original Reman, the remanufactured parts division, offers customers the same quality and performance as new parts while contributing to a reduction in the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). These remanufactured parts are accompanied by a best-in-class two-year warranty and are ready to be fitted, minimizing machine downtime.
The remanufacturing process at FPT Industrial is carried out meticulously, employing advanced technologies such as a recently acquired fully automatic cleaning machine to expedite the process. The remanufacturing of cores ensures the same operational performance standards as new components, fostering a sustainable cycle of raw material savings. Components undergo thorough examination, remanufacturing, and testing in adherence to the original product’s performance requirements. Rigorous quality control tests and innovative production techniques are integrated into every step of the process.
FPT Original Reman parts are engineered specifically for FPT engines, effectively reducing risks, enhancing reliability, and extending equipment life cycles. The commitment of FPT Industrial aligns with Iveco Group’s sustainability goals, which include targets such as 75% water recycling at Company plants worldwide, achieving 100% recovery of spare part cores by 2026, and generating 15% of net sales from remanufactured components.
To meet these ambitious goals, FPT Industrial is actively involved in the 5R project, focused on returning sold cores to the parent company. After a comprehensive examination of their condition, the cores undergo one of the following processes: regeneration, repair, reuse, recovery, or recycling. These initiatives ensure minimal waste and maximum resource utilization.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, FPT Industrial designed its REMATEC 2023 booth with CO2 reduction in mind. Instead of physical mockups and product literature, an innovative app offered visitors the opportunity to explore FPT Industrial’s product offerings. Additionally, the brand supports Treedom, a platform dedicated to tree planting worldwide. FPT Industrial has created the MYFPT Original Reman forest with 500 trees, estimated to absorb 103.50 tons of CO2 over the first ten years of growth. Visitors to FPT Industrial’s stand at REMATEC 2023 had the chance to become owners of a tree in the MYFPT Original Reman Forest.
