NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, a global manufacturer of drive solutions, achieved record sales of over one billion euros in 2022 despite supply chain bottlenecks. The company focused on developing innovative, energy-saving solutions and expanding its capacities worldwide, including the opening of a new assembly plant in India. In 2023, the company plans to focus on multisourcing and the global orientation of target industries, as well as expanding its energy-efficient solutions and capacity in Poland.

For the very first time, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS achieved a significant milestone in 2022, crossing the one billion euro sales threshold. The company also expanded its workforce to 4,900 employees and opened new production facilities worldwide. Despite the supply chain bottlenecks, the company received positive feedback from its customers due to its commitment to making everything possible for them.

In 2022, the company focused on developing innovative, energy-saving drive solutions to reduce energy consumption in industrial applications and respond to increasing energy costs. NORD ECO service also helped companies find efficient drive solutions. The company also made its internal processes more efficient and focused on sustainability by addressing environmental protection, employee training and promotion, human rights, and certifications.

In 2022, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS invested heavily in expanding its capacities in Germany and abroad. It built a new office and administration building in Bargteheide and completed the production facility in Yizheng, China. Additionally, it plans to open its fourth global assembly plant for industrial gear units in India in the first quarter of 2023. The company also intends to increase electronic production at its Aurich location and expand the capacity of its motor factory in Poland.

In 2023, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will focus on multisourcing, supply chain and production, and global orientation of target industries, such as post & parcel, airport, warehouse logistics, bakery and packaging industry, and applications on bulk handling or mixing and agitating. The company’s energy-efficient solutions, such as its patented DuoDrive and IE5+ motors, are popular due to the customer benefit. Factory automation and digitalisation will also be important for the growing Asian market.
