Ganesha Engisol, operating under the banner of Ganesha Solutions, started its journey in 2011 with a clear goal: to bring die-casting technology to Indian manufacturers. At the time, the industry depended heavily on imported machines, furnaces and supporting equipment. With more than a decade of experience in die casting and associations with established industrial groups such as Bosch and Endurance, founder Pramodkumar Jagtap recognised an opportunity to develop these technologies locally.
The company began by reconditioning and retrofitting European die-casting machines that had already been used for 15 to 20 years. Indian manufacturers could restore these machines and continue using them instead of replacing them entirely. What began as a service to extend machine life gradually developed into a larger ambition: manufacturing new equipment in India and providing complete solutions to the die-casting industry.
The move into manufacturing gained momentum when the Minda Group gave Ganesha Engisol an opportunity to manufacture a gravity die-casting machine. Completing the first machine opened new possibilities, and furnace manufacturing soon followed. Over the past eight to ten years, the company has expanded into complete turnkey solutions for gravity and low-pressure die casting.
The process starts with understanding the customer’s production requirements and expected capacity. Based on these needs, the company plans the project, recommends suitable equipment, manufactures the machinery in-house and installs the complete production line at the customer’s facility. Its portfolio includes gravity and low-pressure die-casting machines, aluminium melting and holding furnaces, tower melting furnaces, automated metal-transfer systems and other foundry equipment. Factory automation, machine retrofitting and project management further support its work across manufacturing operations.
Customisation remains central to the company’s approach. One of the machine concepts discussed during the interview features two moulds on a single gravity die-casting machine. The arrangement is designed to help manufacturers increase production output, potentially doubling output for suitable components without requiring two separate machines. Although the concept has been tried elsewhere, it remains relatively new for Indian manufacturers. The larger machine accommodates both moulds while aiming to maintain the required component strength and quality.
ALUCAST has been an important platform for Ganesha Engisol since approximately 2014 or 2015. The exhibition has helped the company connect with manufacturers, generate enquiries and explore business opportunities. After exhibiting two machines in 2024, the company was preparing to showcase a larger gravity die-casting machine at its next appearance. Such platforms also provide an opportunity to present customised equipment and connect with the wider die-casting industry.
Having established its presence in India, Ganesha Engisol is now working towards expanding internationally. The company has been pursuing this goal over the past two to three years, with Southeast Asia emerging as a key target because of its growing opportunities in die casting. Selected European markets are also being explored, particularly where manufacturers are looking for more cost-effective equipment solutions.
The focus will remain on gravity and low-pressure die casting, supported by the company’s experience in machine manufacturing and turnkey project delivery. India’s engineering talent, skilled workforce and manufacturing capabilities are creating opportunities for domestic equipment manufacturers to serve customers worldwide. From reconditioning imported machinery to developing new machines and complete production lines, Ganesha Engisol’s journey reflects the growing capabilities of Indian engineering. The next step is to take these solutions to more international customers and strengthen India’s presence in the global die-casting equipment market.
