Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), a listed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, has received a Letter of Award from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) for the 765 kV double-circuit Pachchham–Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat. The order is valued at ₹689.93 crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), and will be executed on a total turnkey basis.
The project scope includes the design, testing, supply, erection and commissioning of the transmission line. The company is required to complete the project within 42 months from the date of the Letter of Award. The contract further expands JSL’s portfolio of high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects and strengthens its engagement with utilities in Gujarat.
Gujarat continues to invest in strengthening its power transmission network alongside the development of renewable energy capacity. The expansion of high-voltage transmission infrastructure is essential to support growing electricity demand and facilitate the evacuation of power from generation centres to consumption hubs. The GETCO order reflects the continuing requirement for specialised EPC capabilities to develop reliable and efficient transmission networks.
To support its growing project portfolio in the state, JSL recently inaugurated a dedicated project office in Ahmedabad. The facility houses project management teams and is intended to improve coordination among engineering, site execution and customer-facing functions. Its presence in Gujarat will enable closer monitoring of project activities, facilitate engagement with stakeholders and support the execution of ongoing and future assignments.
Commenting on the development, Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer, Jyoti Structures Limited, said, “Gujarat is an important market for us, with several transmission projects already under execution. Orders of this nature reflect the continued demand for specialised EPC capabilities in the power transmission sector. Our experience across transmission projects enables us to manage the engineering and execution requirements involved in delivering such infrastructure. We remain focused on building our project portfolio through the consistent delivery of projects to the required standards of quality and safety.”
The latest contract follows JSL’s recent order in Sri Lanka, where the company partnered with Hayleys Fentons Limited to develop a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line between Mannar and Mullikulam. The project is intended to support the evacuation of wind power into Sri Lanka’s national electricity grid, extending JSL’s participation in transmission infrastructure development beyond India.
