Kellton, an AI-led digital transformation and technology consulting company, has secured an engagement to manage a centralised engineering function for a leading airline in the Middle East. Under the engagement, Kellton will take end-to-end responsibility for the airline’s centralised engineering function, supporting the development and maintenance of its expanding web and mobile platforms. The assignment is intended to strengthen the engineering processes and technology delivery practices supporting the airline’s digital ecosystem.

Kellton will bring together engineering processes, operational practices and technology delivery across the airline’s digital environment. The work will include establishing consistent software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and developing a scalable engineering model to support the airline’s evolving digital requirements.

The engagement builds on Kellton’s experience in aviation technology. The company has worked on mission-critical digital platforms, enterprise middleware and AI-driven operational solutions for airlines in India and international markets, as well as a major airport operator.

As airlines continue to expand their digital services, engineering teams need to maintain consistent development practices and support reliable platform performance. Kellton’s role will focus on creating a common framework for engineering activities across the airline’s digital platforms, while supporting ongoing software development and delivery.

The engagement also provides scope to introduce AI-enabled approaches into engineering workflows. These approaches are expected to complement established software development practices as the airline continues to develop its digital platforms. The company said such capabilities could support the airline’s future technology priorities as its digital ecosystem grows.

Karanjit Singh, CEO (APAC) at Kellton, said digital platforms were becoming increasingly important to airline operations and customer experience. He said the engineering systems supporting these platforms needed to adapt to changing technology requirements.

Mr Singh added that Kellton would combine its aviation sector experience with its digital engineering capabilities to establish consistent engineering practices across the airline’s ecosystem. He also said the engagement could create opportunities to incorporate AI-enabled methods as engineering workflows evolve. The assignment expands Kellton’s work in the aviation sector and reflects demand for centralised engineering capabilities that can support digital platform development, operational consistency and future technology requirements.
