Force Motors Limited has launched an initiative to help customers access authorised vehicle scrappage facilities, encouraging responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles and recovery of recyclable materials. The company has partnered with Rosmerta Auto Recycling Pvt Ltd to provide eligible customers access to its Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in the Delhi-NCR region. The initiative also supports Force Motors’ commitment under its Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to support the Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme in the region.
Force Motors plans to explore similar partnerships in other parts of India to widen access to authorised scrappage facilities and promote organised vehicle retirement. Under the arrangement, eligible Force Motors customers will be able to send their end-of-life vehicles to Rosmerta’s registered facility for documentation, depollution and dismantling. The process will also include segregation and recovery of recyclable materials. Relevant scrappage documents, including a Certificate of Deposit wherever applicable, will be provided through the authorised process.
The initiative aims to make it easier for vehicle owners to choose organised scrappage channels instead of disposing of ageing vehicles through unregulated methods. Authorised scrappage facilities follow defined procedures for handling end-of-life vehicles and recovering materials that can be reused or recycled.
According to Force Motors, responsible vehicle retirement is an important part of vehicle ownership and manufacturer responsibility. While regular servicing and timely replacement help maintain vehicle performance during its operating life, appropriate disposal at the end of that life can also contribute to resource efficiency and reduced waste.
Commenting on the initiative, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors Limited, said the company’s responsibility extends beyond manufacturing and delivering vehicles. He said the partnership would encourage customers to use authorised disposal channels while supporting the recovery of valuable materials and more responsible practices across the automotive lifecycle.
The initiative forms part of Force Motors’ efforts to extend its sustainability approach beyond manufacturing operations. By improving customer access to organised scrappage and increasing awareness of responsible vehicle disposal, the company aims to support the recycling of automotive materials and more efficient resource use.
