Akshayakalpa Organic has expanded its high-protein dairy range with the launch of High Protein Dahi, High Protein Milk – Coffee and High Protein Milk – Kesar Elaichi. The new products are designed to help consumers increase their daily protein intake through familiar dairy foods and ready-to-drink beverages.

The launch comes amid growing attention to protein consumption in India. An Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) study cited by the company found that nearly 73% of Indian diets fall short of daily protein requirements. Akshayakalpa Organic said its new range aims to make protein more accessible through everyday dairy products.

The High Protein Dahi contains 28 grams of protein per 400-gram tub and is priced at ₹99. The product can be eaten on its own or served with regular meals, offering consumers another way to include protein in their daily diets. The two flavoured milk products provide 25 grams of protein per 250-millilitre serving and are priced at ₹110 each. Made using ultrafiltered organic milk, the drinks concentrate naturally occurring milk protein without adding protein isolates or powders. The Coffee variant offers a coffee flavour, while Kesar Elaichi combines saffron and cardamom. According to the company, both drinks are lactose-free and low-fat, contain no added sugar or stabilisers, and are made without antibiotics.

Shashi Kumar, Founder and CEO of Akshayakalpa Organic, said the company wanted to make it easier for consumers to include protein in their regular routines. He said High Protein Dahi builds on an established food choice, while the flavoured milk products provide additional options for those seeking convenient nutrition. The new products are available through the Akshayakalpa app and the company’s delivery network in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

Founded in 2010, Akshayakalpa Organic describes itself as India’s first certified organic dairy enterprise. Its product range includes milk, ghee, cheese, butter, paneer, curd and buttermilk, as well as bread, honey, batter, coconut and virgin coconut oil. The company’s dairy model centres on organic farming practices and a farmer-entrepreneurship programme intended to support a sustainable agricultural ecosystem. Its products are marketed as free from antibiotics, synthetic additives and chemical pesticide residues.

Through the expanded high-protein range, Akshayakalpa Organic is extending its dairy portfolio beyond conventional products to include options designed around consumers’ changing nutrition preferences. The launch adds both a meal-time dairy staple and flavoured drinks to its existing offerings.
