Rossari Biotech Limited reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹697.6 crore for the second quarter of FY2026–27, registering year-on-year growth of 19%. EBITDA increased 20.9% to ₹87 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved by 20 basis points to 12.5%. The specialty chemicals manufacturer reported profit after tax of ₹38.9 crore for the quarter. The company said higher depreciation arising from investments in long-term projects affected its profit after tax.
Export sales reached a record ₹216.4 crore, up 33.8% year on year. Cash flow from operations stood at ₹131 crore. Rossari also improved its net working capital cycle to 86 days as of September 30, 2026, compared with 97 days at the end of March 2026. Net debt declined to ₹221 crore from ₹281 crore over the same period. For the first half of FY27, revenue increased 23.4% to ₹1,394.8 crore. In a joint statement, Edward Menezes, Promoter and Executive Chairman, and Sunil Chari, Promoter and Managing Director, of Rossari Biotech said growth was supported by domestic demand, international expansion, higher volumes, product mix improvements and execution across business segments. They noted that the company continued to operate amid raw material price volatility, geopolitical uncertainty and cautious customer spending.
The Home, Personal Care and Performance Chemicals business recorded 18% year-on-year growth in Q2 FY27, while Textile Specialty Chemicals grew 26% and Animal Health and Nutrition increased 11%. Rossari’s board has approved the leasing of land by its wholly owned subsidiary, Rossari International Limited Company, for a greenfield manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project forms part of the company’s international expansion plans.
During the quarter, the company completed the Stage 1 EXCiPACT audit for its pharmaceutical business and continued expanding its preservative and mild surfactant portfolio. It also commissioned an ethylene oxide storage facility at its Unitop site. The agro business remained generally sluggish amid El Niño conditions.
In Textile Specialty Chemicals, Rossari added Peru and Indonesia to its geographical markets and expanded its yarn and thread lubricants portfolio. It also introduced spin-finish products for fully drawn yarn and a new category for denim processing. The Animal Health and Nutrition business introduced disinfectants, poultry-feed emulsifiers, liquid enzymes for export markets and a biosurfactant-based gut health modulator for poultry. The company said its focus remains on improving product mix, rationalising lower-margin activities, monetising non-core assets and strengthening operational efficiency. It expects scale benefits and operating leverage to support profitability over time.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Rossari operates manufacturing facilities at Silvassa and Dahej and serves a wide range of industries including FMCG, home care, industrial cleaning, personal care, textiles, performance chemicals and animal health. The company maintains a strong pan-India distribution network and continues to focus on disciplined execution, customer-driven innovation and sustainable value creation.
