Ampere, the electric mobility brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched the Nexus EX+, expanding its Nexus electric scooter range with a 5 kW motor, IoT-enabled Intellipack technology and an IP65-rated water-resistant charger. The new Nexus EX+ is available in two variants. The standard Nexus EX+ is priced at ₹1,29,999, while the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack is priced at ₹1,35,999. Both variants are available in Carbon Knight and Steel Grey.
The 5 kW motor produces peak torque of 202 Nm at the wheel and enables acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in 4.5 seconds. Ampere said the motor is designed to provide stronger initial acceleration and improved gradeability on steep roads, flyovers and hilly terrain, while supporting pillion riding and load-bearing conditions.
The Intellipack-equipped variant connects the scooter to the Ampere Connect App, which provides more than 30 connected features. These include real-time charging status, live vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation, remote vehicle diagnostics, trip reports, ride statistics, charging history, energy consumption information, battery health monitoring and service booking.
Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “The Nexus has consistently demonstrated Ampere’s focus on purposeful innovation, durability and real-world performance. With the launch of the new Nexus EX+, we are strengthening this award-winning EV platform with IoT-enabled Intellipack, stronger performance and greater everyday confidence.”
The scooter uses LFP battery technology, with the battery designed for a service life of up to 2,00,000 km. Ampere said the longer battery life, combined with lower running costs compared with petrol scooters, is intended to provide a lower total cost of ownership for customers.
The Nexus EX+ comes with a five-year or 75,000 km battery warranty. The IP65-rated charger provides protection against dust and water and is designed for use across different weather conditions. The new model will be sold through Ampere dealerships across India. The company said the two-variant strategy gives customers a choice between the standard Nexus EX+ and the connected version with Intellipack.
