Kärcher India has expanded its domestic manufacturing operations with the launch of seven locally produced professional cleaning machines covering floor care, sweeping and high-pressure cleaning. The expansion is aimed at meeting rising demand from commercial and industrial customers while strengthening India’s role in the company’s regional manufacturing network.

The new products were unveiled at Kärcher India’s Training Centre in Noida. The launch marks an expansion of local manufacturing, sourcing, servicing and technical capabilities as the company implements its global Strategy 2030, which identifies growth in India as a key priority.

The newly introduced range includes the BD 43/40 C Ep compact scrubber dryer, the BD 50/50 C Bp Classic battery-powered scrubber dryer, the BDS 43/150 C Classic single-disc machine, the KM 85/50 W Bp vacuum sweeper, the BD 80/120 R Classic ride-on scrubber dryer, the HD 7/16 cold-water high-pressure cleaner and the KM 70/20 C Classic manual sweeper.

The machines are designed for applications in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, automotive, infrastructure and institutional facilities. Kärcher said product development has taken into account operating conditions in India, including high dust levels, demanding industrial environments and extended operating cycles. Features across relevant models include reinforced structural components, sealed electronics, dust filtration, intuitive controls and maintenance points designed for easier servicing. The machines also undergo endurance testing, including 100-hour stress tests, along with automated end-of-line diagnostic checks. Production follows the company’s global quality system and engineering standards.

Markus Limberger, Chief Operating Officer of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co KG, said expanding manufacturing in India was an important part of the company’s long-term growth plans. He said local production would bring manufacturing closer to customers while maintaining the engineering, quality and safety standards applied across Kärcher’s global operations.

The localisation programme extends beyond assembly to domestic fabrication of components such as heavy-gauge steel chassis, roto-moulded tanks and cast brush decks. The company expects deeper localisation to increase domestic value addition and provide a base for expanding production.

Local manufacturing is also expected to improve product availability, shorten supply routes and support faster responses to customer requirements. Kärcher’s service network in India provides after-sales support, technical training and maintenance services. The company plans to expand production at strong double-digit annual rates across localised product lines. Future plans include heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, larger ride-on sweepers, municipal cleaning platforms and greater local sourcing of spare parts.

Kärcher said the expansion would initially focus on India’s commercial and industrial requirements, with the possibility of supporting wider regional markets as domestic manufacturing capacity grows. Kärcher India is a subsidiary of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co KG and supplies cleaning equipment for domestic, commercial and industrial applications through its dealer and service network.
