Ceigall India Limited has commissioned another 5 MW solar power plant at Ranjangaon Deshmukh in Maharashtra through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Limited. The latest commissioning takes the subsidiary’s operational solar capacity at the site to 10 MW.

The 5 MW plant is located at Ranjangaon Deshmukh, Taluka Kopargaon, District Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. The newly commissioned capacity follows the earlier commissioning of a 5 MW unit at the same site. The first unit was completed ahead of its scheduled timeline and qualified the project for an early-commissioning incentive under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0).

The commissioned capacity is connected to the 33/11 kV Ranjangaon substation of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The electricity generated from the project will be sold to MSEDCL. The 10 MW operational capacity forms part of an aggregate 147 MW solar power project being developed and executed by Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Limited under MSKVY 2.0. The Government of Maharashtra scheme is aimed at increasing decentralised daytime solar power supply to agricultural feeders across the state.

Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director, Ceigall India Limited, said, “The successful commissioning of another 5 MW of capacity, well ahead of schedule, reflects the strong execution discipline that Ceigall India brings to every project it undertakes. As we continue to scale up our presence in the renewable energy space, this milestone reinforces our commitment to supporting Maharashtra’s clean energy goals while building a diversified and future-ready infrastructure portfolio.”

The latest commissioning expands Ceigall India’s presence in the renewable energy sector. The company is developing its renewable energy portfolio through utility-scale solar projects and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects as part of its broader infrastructure business.

Ceigall India is an infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company involved in the development of highways, expressways, bridges, flyovers, railway overbridges, tunnels and runways. The company executes projects under EPC and Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) formats across several states in India. The company is also using its project execution capabilities to expand into renewable energy. Its portfolio includes utility-scale solar and BESS projects, providing an additional business segment alongside its conventional infrastructure activities.

The 147 MW solar project under MSKVY 2.0 is being developed in line with the state’s focus on supplying daytime solar power to agricultural feeders. The commissioning of the additional 5 MW capacity adds to Ceigall India’s operational renewable energy assets and advances the implementation of the larger project.

Ceigall India said it will continue to develop its renewable energy portfolio while maintaining its focus on infrastructure projects. The company’s activities across highways, bridges, rail infrastructure, tunnels, runways, solar power and energy storage form part of its diversified project portfolio.
