Atlas Copco is showcasing its compressed-air solutions for semiconductor manufacturing at SEMICON India 2026, with a focus on clean, dry, oil-free and reliable air supply for the country’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem. India is seeing investments across semiconductor fabrication, packaging, testing and electronics manufacturing. As production facilities become more advanced, dependable utility infrastructure is increasingly important. Compressed air is used across automation, instrumentation and manufacturing processes, where contamination, moisture and pressure fluctuations can affect process quality and equipment reliability.

At SEMICON India 2026, Atlas Copco is presenting an integrated compressed-air solution covering compression, air treatment, cooling and control. The portfolio on display includes ZH/ZH+ oil-free centrifugal compressors, ZR/ZT screw compressors, XDG and MDG heat-of-compression dryers, TCX industrial chillers, TDV adiabatic coolers, EH heat pumps and AIRCUBE pre-engineered compressor rooms.

The company is also showcasing high-efficiency fine filtration systems and Optimizer 4.0 intelligent control technology. The combination of these systems is designed to provide a consistent supply of high-quality compressed air from the compressor room to the point of use.

Compressed air supports several applications in semiconductor manufacturing, including purging, cool-down and drying, photolithography equipment, instrumentation and automation. Maintaining air quality and stable pressure is important for production processes that require controlled operating conditions.

Speaking about the company’s participation, Bhavin Pandya, General Manager, Compressor Technique Customer Center, Atlas Copco India, said, “As India’s semiconductor ecosystem continues to grow, there is a growing need for reliable and efficient manufacturing infrastructure. Compressed air is indispensable in semiconductor manufacturing, where the quality, consistency and reliability of the air supply are critical. We can support semiconductor manufacturers in building future-ready operations through our local and global engineering expertise, energy-efficient oil-free compression, advanced air treatment and smart solutions. SEMICON India 2026 provides us with an excellent opportunity to engage directly with the industry and demonstrate how we can contribute to reliable and cost-effective semiconductor manufacturing.”

Atlas Copco’s solutions are designed for manufacturing environments where air contamination can affect production processes. Its portfolio combines certified oil-free compression, air treatment, intelligent controls and connected monitoring. These technologies are intended to help manufacturers maintain process reliability, manage energy consumption and control lifecycle costs.

Oil-free compressors provide compressed air without the introduction of oil from the compression process, while dryers and filtration systems address moisture and other contaminants. Intelligent control systems can help manage compressor operation according to demand and improve the efficiency of the compressed-air system.

The company said its technologies are designed to support semiconductor manufacturers as they establish and expand production capabilities in India. The growing domestic semiconductor industry is creating demand not only for manufacturing equipment but also for supporting systems that can meet the requirements of advanced production environments.

Atlas Copco has more than 150 years of compressor expertise globally and over 60 years of operations in India. The company provides compressed-air and industrial solutions across sectors, supporting customers in improving productivity, energy efficiency and operational performance.
