KAS Group, one of India’s leading engineering companies serving the semiconductor, electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors, has appointed G Sivakumar as General Manager, Manufacturing. The appointment comes as the company strengthens its manufacturing capabilities to support the rapid growth of India’s semiconductor industry and expanding opportunities in global supply chains.
In his new role, Mr Sivakumar will lead manufacturing operations across KAS Group’s facilities, with responsibility for production, quality systems, supplier development and operational excellence. He will work closely with the company’s leadership team to enhance manufacturing efficiency, strengthen quality standards and support the group’s expansion as it deepens partnerships with global semiconductor equipment manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Mr Sivakumar brings more than 25 years of experience in automotive and industrial manufacturing. His expertise spans manufacturing operations, quality management, strategic sourcing, supplier development and integrated management systems. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at Renault Nissan Automotive India, Uno Minda Group, Prabha Engineering, Lucas TVS and Rane Brake Linings, where he played a key role in greenfield manufacturing projects, new product development, operational improvement programmes and supply chain transformation initiatives.
Commenting on his appointment, G Sivakumar said he was pleased to join KAS Group at a time when India’s manufacturing sector is witnessing significant growth. He noted that the company has established a strong foundation in precision engineering, semiconductor equipment manufacturing and ultra-high-purity infrastructure, and expressed confidence that his experience in quality systems, supplier development and manufacturing excellence would help further strengthen operations. He added that his focus would be on building efficient manufacturing processes, developing high-performing teams and creating globally competitive manufacturing capabilities from India.
