Brenus Pharma has secured an additional €11 million (US$12.6 million) through an extension of its Series A funding round, increasing the total capital raised since the company’s inception to €38 million (US$43.5 million). The new investment will support the continued clinical development of the company’s lead cancer immunotherapy candidate and accelerate the expansion of its proprietary immuno-oncology platform.

The funding extension reflects the company’s progress in achieving important clinical, regulatory and business development milestones. Brenus Pharma said the investment will help complete the ongoing Phase I clinical programme for STC-1010, its lead in-vivo immunotherapy candidate for the treatment of microsatellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer (MSS mCRC), while also supporting the development of additional treatment candidates.

The financing round received strong backing from existing investors, including Angelor, UI Investissement, Crédit Agricole, Noshaq, Orsa, BIO JAG and Bpifrance, which continues to support the company through non-dilutive funding. The round also welcomed two new international investors—Sambrinvest, strengthening Brenus Pharma’s European investor base, and Korea Omega Investment Corp which becomes the company’s first institutional investor from the Asia-Pacific region.

The latest investment is expected to strengthen Brenus Pharma’s financial position as it advances clinical research and expands its pipeline of next-generation cancer therapies. The company believes the additional funding will accelerate research into innovative immunotherapy approaches designed to address cancers that remain difficult to treat using existing treatment options.

Commenting on the investment, Dae Kyeong Bae, Senior Vice President at Korea Omega Investment Corp, said the company sees significant potential in Brenus Pharma’s technology and development strategy. He noted that the combination of differentiated scientific innovation, encouraging early clinical progress and a strong management team made Brenus Pharma an attractive investment. He added that supporting European healthcare innovation aligns with Korea Omega Investment Corp’s strategy of expanding its international life sciences portfolio while contributing to the development of treatments for patients with serious unmet medical needs.

Paul Bravetti, Chief Executive Officer of Brenus Pharma, welcomed the participation of both existing and new investors. He said the funding reflects growing confidence in the company’s scientific platform and long-term vision. According to Bravetti, the investment will enable Brenus Pharma to complete its Phase I clinical programme while accelerating the development of additional drug candidates based on its proprietary in-vivo immunotherapy technology. He also thanked the company’s long-standing investors for their continued trust and support throughout its growth journey.

Brenus Pharma is developing an off-the-shelf immuno-oncology platform designed to improve the treatment of solid tumours. Its technology reproduces tumour protein expression in a way that enables the immune system to recognise and attack cancer cells more effectively. The platform is designed to generate a multi-target immune response capable of adapting to tumour evolution, offering a promising approach for treating aggressive cancers where current therapies have shown limited success.
