Greaves Cotton Limited has established Greaves International Trading FZE (GITFZE), a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to strengthen its international business operations and expand its presence across the Middle East and Africa. The move forms part of the company’s GREAVES.NEXT growth strategy, which focuses on accelerating international expansion, enhancing customer engagement and building a stronger global distribution network.
The Dubai-based subsidiary will function as a regional trading and distribution hub, enabling Greaves Cotton to improve market access, strengthen relationships with customers and partners, and enhance operational efficiency across key overseas markets. The UAE’s strategic location and well-developed logistics ecosystem are expected to support faster deliveries, closer customer interaction and more responsive business operations.
Greaves International Trading FZE will oversee business development, market expansion, customer support, technical assistance, channel partner management, aftermarket services and supply chain coordination. The company will also facilitate access to Greaves Cotton’s portfolio of products, including diesel engines, gensets and powertrain solutions across its Energy, Mobility and Industrial Solutions businesses.
Initially, the subsidiary will cater to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. The company also plans to gradually extend its operations into the Levant region and several African markets, supporting its long-term objective of expanding its international footprint.
Commenting on the development, Parag Satpute, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Greaves Cotton Limited, said international business has emerged as one of the company’s key growth engines and remains a central pillar of the GREAVES.NEXT strategy. He noted that the contribution of international operations to the company’s business increased from 9 per cent to 13 per cent during FY26, reflecting growing acceptance of Greaves products in overseas markets.
He said the establishment of Greaves International Trading FZE will strengthen the company’s ability to serve customers more efficiently, respond quickly to market opportunities and deliver reliable engineering solutions across the Middle East and Africa. The new regional hub is expected to support long-term business growth while reinforcing Greaves Cotton’s commitment to expanding its global presence.
The initiative also aligns with the company’s strategy of strengthening exports and creating an integrated trading and distribution ecosystem that supports sustainable international growth. By establishing dedicated regional operations, Greaves Cotton aims to improve customer service, optimise supply chain management and create stronger partnerships across international markets.
With a legacy spanning more than 165 years, Greaves Cotton has evolved into a diversified engineering company serving the energy, mobility and industrial sectors through innovative products and technology-driven solutions. The company continues to invest in engineering excellence, sustainable technologies and customer-focused innovation while expanding its presence in domestic and international markets.
Through its investments in businesses such as Greaves Electric Mobility Limited and Greaves Finance Limited, the company is also contributing to the growth of India’s electric mobility ecosystem. The launch of Greaves International Trading FZE marks another strategic milestone in its journey to become a globally recognised engineering and technology enterprise while supporting long-term growth across international markets
