Kamdhenu Paints has expanded its manufacturing portfolio with the commencement of indigenous production of premium wood coatings under its newly introduced KAMOLAC brand. The company has commissioned a dedicated manufacturing line at its production facility in the RIICO Industrial Area, Chopanki (Bhiwadi), Rajasthan, with an investment of approximately ₹20 crore.
The initiative marks a strategic step toward strengthening its presence in high-value coating solutions while broadening its decorative paints portfolio. The new production line has been established to cater to the rising demand for premium wood finishes across residential, commercial and institutional projects.
By manufacturing the products locally, Kamdhenu Paints expects to improve product availability, reduce lead times and enhance service delivery for architects, interior designers, furniture manufacturers and woodworking professionals across the country. India’s wood coatings market has been witnessing sustained growth, supported by rapid urbanisation, increasing disposable incomes and rising demand for premium furniture and modern interior solutions.
The company believes this evolving market presents a significant opportunity to strengthen its footprint in specialised coatings while creating an additional revenue stream. Kamdhenu Paints has set an ambitious target of generating nearly ₹100 crore in revenue from wood coatings and other newly introduced product categories by FY2029.
The newly established Wood Coating Division has introduced a comprehensive portfolio comprising polyurethane (PU) wood finishes, high-gloss coatings and complementary protective solutions engineered to enhance the appearance, durability and longevity of wooden surfaces. Developed to suit Indian climatic and application conditions, the products also meet global performance expectations, making them suitable for premium residential and commercial projects.
